Zoomlion (Changsha, China), a high-end equipment manufacturer, released the latest pump truck equipped with carbon fiber boom on November 26. This innovation is the crystallization of carbon fiber composites and manufacturing technology independently developed and patented by Zoomlion.
It is reported that this is the first self-designed and manufactured carbon fiber boom pump truck in China. According to Zoomlion, it not only improves work efficiency and reduces production costs, but also has lightweight performance, which is applied to pump trucks through innovative composite metal hybrid structure technology. The weight of the boom was reduced by 35%. In addition, the 44 ton product can now reach the maximum feeding height of 63 meters, making it the longest boom of the same tonnage level in the world. By adding chip sensors to the structure - similar to "installing nerves in bones" - it also provides monitoring and prediction functions to better serve customers.
Zoomlion's pioneering technologies, including new carbon fiber composites and the company's "hollow" boom design technology, are also considered to be of great significance to the industry's energy conservation and emission reduction goals. Taking the annual output of 2500 Zoomlion Lingyun series pump trucks as an example, adopting this new technology can reduce steel consumption by 750 tons and carbon dioxide emission by 1500 tons. This lightweight technology also greatly reduces the energy required during operation. Importantly, Zoomlion has embarked on a comprehensive green development path integrating green design, green manufacturing and green management, which conforms to the market demand for high-quality and sustainable development.
